According to statistics released by the German steel federation Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl, Germany produced 3.6 million tons of crude steel in July, falling by 2.1% year on year and decreasing by 3% from a month earlier.

In the first seven months of this year, the country´s crude steel output totaled 25.50 million tons, decreasing by 5% year on year.

In June alone, Germany´s production of hot rolled steel products totaled 3.2 million tons, declining by 8% in comparison of that in the same period of a year earlier. Among them, 2.07 million tons were steel flat products and 1.10 million tons were steel long products, falling by 9.6% and 5% year on year respectively.

In the first half of this year, the country´s output of hot rolled steel products amounted to 19 million tons, dropping by 6% year on year. Among them, 12.5 million tons were steel flat product and 6.5 million tons were steel long products, down by 8% and 1.7% year on year respectively
